Paper logbook thing of the past with digital module in FacilityApps platform

Especially for the start of ISSA/Interclean 2014, the FacilityApps team has worked hard to make the website English-language and introduce a new handy feature: the logbook app in the App platform, specifically for the cleaning industry. The FacilityApp platform offers a fully digital logbook in the latest release of Thursday 2 May 2014. This meets the wish of a substantial number of customers who want to replace the paper logbook with a digital version within the FacilityApps platform. The logbook can be accessed in various ways, by customer, supplier and employees.
Purpose of the logbook app
The logbook is intended to enable and accelerate communication between the various employees on the work floor, the supervisor and the customer – for example a facility manager or reception employee. Within cleaning, the logbook is an important tool for setting out and coordinating tasks, questions and assignments. This is especially important given the variable work schedules and staff turnover.

Employees also go mobile
Until now, the App platform has mainly been used by people with a supervisory function. This logbook functionality is also accessible to executive employees on the work floor without major investments. With an inexpensive Samsung smartphone, a QR code can already be scanned, making tasks visible and allowing simple questions to be answered.
Notifications via QR code or link
How does the logbook work? The customer or an employee can make a report or set out a question/assignment. They do this by scanning a QR code or by requesting a specific link (which can easily be created in the back-end in advance by the principal/sender). Then everyone with the necessary rights can read the full logbook and easily answer questions that have been asked.
