Cleaning Workx, part of FacilityApps, nominated for the Interclean Innovation Award 2026
We are proud to share that Cleaning Workx, part of the FacilityApps platform, has been nominated for the Amsterdam Innovation Award 2026 during Interclean Amsterdam, the world’s leading trade show for the cleaning and facilities industry.
Our Virtual Reality Training for Cleaners has been selected by the international jury in the category Smart Technologies & Digitalisation. This nomination recognises innovative solutions that use digitalisation and technology to make the industry smarter, more efficient, and future-proof.
About the innovation: Virtual Reality training for cleaners
The VR training solution from Cleaning Workx enables cleaning staff to be trained and certified in a realistic, scalable, and language-independent way. Through Virtual Reality, cleaners learn in a safe and hands-on environment how to perform their work correctly, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
This approach:
- Reduces training costs
- Improves quality and consistency
- Makes training accessible for international and diverse teams, including people with learning challenges such as dyslexia, attention disorders, or ADHD
- Contributes to the professionalisation of the cleaning profession

On the road to jury selection
On 16 and 17 February 2026, the Jury Selection Days will take place at the RAI Amsterdam. During these days, Cleaning Workx will present and demonstrate the VR solution live to the professional jury. The team will also be interviewed by a professional film crew.
During Interclean Amsterdam, the innovation will receive broad international exposure via:

- Social media campaigns

- A presentation in the House of Awards (Hall 13)
- Attention during the official Opening Ceremony
Heading toward Interclean Amsterdam 2026
The winners of the Amsterdam Innovation Award will be announced during the official Opening Keynote and Award Ceremony on Tuesday 14 April 2026, on the Main Stage in Hall 13.
