AMSTERDAM, 15 April 2026 - At the grand opening of Interclean Amsterdam 2026, FacilityApps, together with its specialised training label Cleaning Workx, crowned itself the big winner. The innovative Virtual Reality (VR) Training for Cleaners won both the Amsterdam Innovation Award (Smart Technology & Digitalisation category) and the Cleaners Choice Award.
Recognition of new industry standard
The win in the 'Smart Technology & Digitalization' category of the Amsterdam Innovation Award (AIA) is considered one of the highest technology recognitions in the cleaning industry worldwide. The independent jury, chaired by Michelle Marshall, praised the way FacilityApps connects technology and people in the workplace with this solution.

Whereas the Innovation Award confirms technological superiority, this audience award represents direct value in daily practice. The jury, consisting of (former) finalists of the Cleaner of the Year election, chose the VR training as their absolute favourite.
